Beyond a GPS/GNSS or laser receiver, the platform can be assessed for compatible controllers, sensors, cameras, protected wiring, communications equipment and other lightweight systems where structural capacity, visibility and safe operation permit. Added equipment should be treated as an engineered load and integration problem, not simply bolted on because space exists.
Future remote or autonomous workflows would require additional sensing, control, safety and validation beyond the receiver platform itself.
